SMK Farmako Medika Plus Holds a Festive Celebration of the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia

In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of Indonesia’s Independence Day, SMK Farmako Medika Plus held a flag-raising ceremony and a variety of traditional 17th August competitions, which took place joyfully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

The flag-raising ceremony was held in the school yard and was led directly by the Principal, Mr. Selamat. In his address, he emphasized the importance of nationalism and mutual cooperation for the younger generation, especially for vocational school students who are prepared to become skilled workers as well as citizens of strong character.

“This independence commemoration is not merely ceremonial, but also a momentum to foster love for the homeland and responsibility of the younger generation in carrying on the spirit of independence,” he stated.

After the ceremony, the event continued with various competitions involving both students and teachers, such as tug of war, sack race, cracker-eating contest, water relay, and a classroom decoration contest with the theme of independence. The atmosphere was festive and full of enthusiasm, seen from both the participants and the audience.

One of the 11th-grade students, Lutfi, expressed his excitement. “We are very happy to take part. The competitions are fun, and they strengthen our togetherness as one big SMK family,” he said.

The event reached its peak with the awarding of prizes to the winners of tug of war, balloon relay, water volleyball, futsal, and many more competitions.

Through this celebration, it is hoped that all members of SMK Farmako Medika Plus will further appreciate the services of the nation’s heroes and continue to uphold unity and the spirit of struggle in their daily lives.

United Youth, Advanced Indonesia! On Tuesday, October 28th, 2025 , SMK Farmako Medika Plus held a Youth Pledge Day Ceremony at the school yard with great respect and enthusiasm. All students, teachers, and staff participated in the event as a tribute to the spirit of unity sparked by Indonesian youth in 1928. The ceremony began at 7:00 AM , marked by the raising of the Indonesian flag and the singing of the national anthem “Indonesia Raya.” The atmosphere was solemn and filled with pride, reminding everyone of their role as the nation’s next generation. It continued with the reading of the Youth Pledge , which became a meaningful moment to reflect on unity and patriotism. FIRST MONDAY CEREMONY OF THE NEW YEAR AND SEMESTER

  On Monday, January 6, 2025, all SMK Farmako Medika Plus students, along with our teachers gathered to carry out a flag ceremony which is routinely held every week, the officers themselves are members of the OSIS and the SMK Farmako Medika Plus ambalan council. This ceremony has a deeper meaning because it is also the starting moment to start the journey of education and work in the new year and semester.  With a new spirit, the ceremony participants followed the series of events solemnly, starting with the raising of the red and white flag which is a symbol of national unity.
