๐ National Santri Day Commemoration at SMK FARMAKO MEDIKA PLUS
“Students Stand Alive, Body and Soul, Spreading Peace and Love for the Homeland”
On October 22, 2025, SMK FARMAKO MEDIKA PLUS commemorated National Santri Day with a spirit of togetherness and religious nuance. All students and teachers appeared in unison wearing Muslim attire and sarongs, a hallmark of santri throughout Indonesia.
The event began with a morning assembly led by Al Muntari students, accompanied by the recitation of sholawat (Islamic prayers) that calmed the atmosphere. The entire school community solemnly participated in the series of events.
In his remarks, the Principal stated that National Santri Day is a moment to commemorate the service of santri and ulama (Islamic scholars) in the struggle for Indonesian independence. He also encouraged all students to emulate the santri's fighting spirit and sincerity in acquiring knowledge and serving the nation.
He emphasized that being a santri (Islamic student) doesn't necessarily mean living in an Islamic boarding school, but rather that each student possesses the spirit of a santri: obedience, humility, discipline, and love for their homeland and religion.
This year's commemoration of Santri Day not only fosters religious spirit but also strengthens a sense of togetherness and family within the school environment.
Through this moment, SMK FARMAKO MEDIKA PLUS hopes that all students can continue to emulate the noble values of santri and become a young generation with morals, knowledge, and a nationalistic spirit.
